Jasnotek[2] (Antrozous) – rodzaj ssaków z podrodziny mroczków (Vespertilioninae) w obrębie rodziny mroczkowatych (Vespertilionidae).
Zasięg występowania[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Rodzaj obejmuje jeden żyjący współcześnie gatunek występujący w Ameryce Północnej[3][4][5].
Morfologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Długość ciała (bez ogona) 57–82 mm, długość ogona 35–53 mm; masa ciała 14–29 g[4][6].
Systematyka[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1862 roku amerykański zoolog Harrison Allen w artykule poświęconym nietoperzom z rodziny mroczkowatych, opublikowanym na łamach Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia[1]. Na gatunek typowy Allen wyznaczył (oznaczenie monotypowe) jasnotka amerykańskiego (A. pallidus).
Etymologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Antrozous: gr. αντρον antron ‘jaskinia, grota’; ζωον zōon ‘zwierzę’[7].
Podział systematyczny[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Do rodzaju należy jeden występujący współcześnie gatunek[8][6][3][2]:
- Antrozous pallidus (Le Conte, 1856) – jasnotek amerykański
Opisano również wymarły gatunek z pliocenu dzisiejszych Stanów Zjednoczonych[9]:
- Antrozous wheeleri (Dalquest & Patrick, 1989)
